Air Transport News – IEG Survey Shows Importance of Airport Lounges to Airlines
The Air Transport News / IEG Lounge Survey asked airlines, airports, and any other air transport representative about their views on Airport lounges.
The main objective of this survey was to better understand the vision of an airport lounge, and how its strategy reflects on the philosophy of an airline. Three major pillars were covered through this survey.
The pillars were:
1. Lounge as an ancillary revenue solution;
2. The overall passenger experience a lounge should offer;
3. The system used to authenticate the passenger access to the lounge depending on
different business rules applicable.
