IEG partners with British Airways for the New Miami Lounge

Miami, FL — IEG is proud to announce its collaboration with British Airways in the newly inaugurated Miami Lounge, where IEG’s AIMS (Airport Information Management System) has been implemented to enhance lounge operations and improve the traveller experience within their access gates.

Located in Miami International Airport’s Terminal E, the new 13,000-square-foot British Airways Lounge represents a major milestone in the airline’s global transformation program. Blending British sophistication with Miami’s art-deco flair, the lounge features panoramic runway views, premium dining and relaxation areas, and exclusive amenities for First and Business Class passengers, as well as oneworld frequent flyers.

Smart Technology at the Gate

As part of this project, IEG’s AIMS solution has been installed across the lounge entry gates, ensuring seamless passenger verification, automated check-in, and real-time synchronization with British Airways’ internal systems. The technology allows lounge staff to efficiently manage guest access through boarding passes, loyalty credentials, or Lounge Atlas reservations — while capturing valuable data on occupancy, traffic peaks, and traveller flow patterns.

Our collaboration with British Airways in Miami marks another step toward a smarter, more connected lounge experience,” said Anoop Sidharthan, Senior Software Developer at IEG. “With AIMS, airlines and lounge operators gain the tools they need to deliver exceptional service, optimize staffing, and gain real-time visibility into passenger operations.”

A Shared Commitment to Passenger Excellence

The integration of AIMS supports British Airways’ goal of offering a premium, frictionless experience from terminal to takeoff. By automating lounge entry and improving visibility into guest movements, both companies are setting a new benchmark for operational efficiency and service consistency.

“We’re pleased to partner with IEG to introduce innovative technology that enhances our customers’ experience in Miami,” said Lukasz Wyrzykowski, Project Manager at British Airways. “This collaboration allows us to offer a seamless welcome and a smoother transition for travellers as they prepare for their journey.”

Sustainability and Innovation

AIMS also contributes to sustainability initiatives by minimizing paper-based processes and enabling data-driven resource optimization. This aligns with both IEG’s and British Airways’ ongoing commitments to reduce environmental impact through smarter, greener solutions.
