Red Light Safety System

The RLSS has been installed across the globe and is proving its ability to reduce accidents and injury every day! Uniquely, the Sensys RLSS is able to detect both speed and distance, allowing the non-intrusive sensor to analyze speed behavior as vehicles approach the stop line. If it is calculated that a vehicle will not be able to stop before the stop line, the system will take a picture of the vehicle just before the stop line showing its position, the red light and the license plate.
The Sensys Mobile Speed Safety System (MSSS) is very compact and versatile. The MSSS is based on Sensys’ multi-tracking radar. This wide beam radar unit, capable of tracking multiple vehicles simultaneously, uses a lobe that oversees several lanes up to 150 meters deep. Vehicles moving within that cone are tracked and their movements analyzed. Speed is determined through Doppler and checked by distance over time. At the defined report line a picture is taken should there be a speed violation. The system is pre-configured. If required, a customized configuration may be made on site via a hand held computer (PDA). Further to a speed-check session by the roadside, the data may be transferred to a memory stick or laptop for further processing by a back-office system.
The SWSS (Speed Warning Safety System) not only enforces the speed limit but also acts as a warning system to both driver and pedestria). The unique multi-tracking radar means that vehicles can start to be detected at a distance of 150 metres or 490 feet. This long tracking time enables both the pedestrian and the driver to be warned at an early stage. The standard system uses an audible alarm to warn the pedestrian in the area and a visual alarm to warn the driver of the vehicle.
The RWASS combines speed warnings to both drivers and workers and can even be used to issue infractions where desired. The Sensys Road Work Area Safety System (RWASS) warns drivers for excessive speeding, alerts road workers of potentially dangerous situations and enforces the law should the speeding driver not adapt to the applicable speed limit.
The Tunnel Safety System (TSS) is designed for installation in tunnels and will check whether a vehicle is traveling above the speed limit. The TSS is based on Sensys’ unique, multi-tracking radar. This wide-beam radar unit, capable of tracking multiple vehicles simultaneously, uses a lobe that oversees several lanes up to 150 metres deep. Vehicles moving with that coverage area are tracked and their movements analyzed. Unlike most traffic enforcement systems, Sensys’ solutions are completely non-intrusive, which means that all system components are installed above ground. This results in low installation and maintenance costs with a minimum effect on traffic flow.
The Vehicle Identification System (VIS) has been developed to be flexible and adjustable to your needs. The VIS may be used in a wide range of applications, as well as for both single and multiples lanes. Additional cameras can be added to identify vehicle drivers. The Sensys Vehicle Identification System can also be customized to your needs. In addition to Wanted Vehicle, Restricted Area and Bus Lane, further applications could include Travel Time Information System, Boarder Control and Congestion Charging.
